2025 Special Investiture at Eugowra
In July 2022 the township of Eugowra in the central west of NSW was hit by a catastrophic flash flood described as ‘an inland tsunami.’ 3 people were killed, many were injured and 80 per cent of buildings were destroyed or damaged. Townsfolk and emergency services crews worked non stop for 36 hours rescuing residents and animals, managing an emergency centre and assisting with the airlifting of the injured to hospital.
The Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC will hold a special investiture at Eugowra on 21 March 2025 to present the Society’s bravery awards to those who courageously risked their lives to save others.
