Eugowra Investiture Awards 21 March 2025
This web page is dedicated to the 47 residents of Eugowra and members the SES and RFS who received the Society’s bravery awards for rescuing their neighbours in the horrendous flash flood on the morning of 14 November 2022, without any concern for their personal safety.
The awards were presented by Her Excellency The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW at a ceremony in the new Eugowra Community Centre on 21 March 2025.

2024 Awards Investiture at Government House
Her Excellency The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC Governor of NSW, hosted the Society’s Annual Investiture at Government House on 21 November 2024.
Her Excellency presented 44 bravery awards: 4 Gold, 9 Silver and 20 Bronze Medals as well as 7 Certificates of Merit and 4 Letters of Commendation. 120 recipients and guests were in attendance.

2025 Special Investiture at Eugowra
On 21 March 2025, Her Excellency will conduct a special investiture of the Society’s bravery awards at Eugowra in central NSW to honour the members of the NSW emergency services and civilians who bravely carried out numerous rescues of townsfolk trapped in an extreme flash flood on 14 November 2022.

Gold Medal and Galleghan Award Mr. Jamie Ingram. Jamie chased a knife-wielding murderer through the streets of the Sydney CBD at lunchtime in August 2019.

Mitch Parker: Councillor and Silver Medal recipient
Firefighter, Captain Parker, led a rescue team through the streets of Stroud during one of its worst-ever floods, rescuing residents trapped in their houses.
